If you build or sell AI in India, what one rule would you most want, or most fear, in the upcoming consultation paper?

At this stage it is a statement that a consultation paper is coming, not the paper itself. Once it is published, this thread is a good place to summarise what it actually proposes.

The emphasis reported so far is on safety and deepfakes, with industry carrying primary responsibility through techno-legal measures. For product teams, that likely means provenance labelling, abuse reporting and logging will matter.

If your company plans to respond to the consultation, it helps to collect concrete examples now: where AI is used in your product, what safeguards exist, and which rules would be unworkable.
